📜 Constitutional History — Six Republics

Korea's constitutional history spans six periods, from the First Republic (1948) to the Sixth Republic (1987–present). Each gave way to the next through constitutional amendment and democratization movements.

🏛 Government — Three Branches

Korea adopts a separation of powers into three mutually checking branches — the legislature (National Assembly) that makes law, the executive (President and government) that carries it out, and the judiciary (courts) that applies it.
